The Ridgeway Breast Care Support Group can offer support to anybody who has had, or is still going through treatment for breast cancer.
We welcome “other halves”, family members and friends as well. All of our meetings are very relaxed and friendly so feel free to bring someone along with you!
"Instead of telling you who WE are, the most important thing about this group is that it is for YOU!"
We like to offer a mixture of regular events – monthly coffee mornings which you can click here to find out more, monthly evening talks and socials. Read more about our evening talks, socials, and pamper sessions every couple of months throughout the year, by viewing our events page for more information.
We also give out “goody bags” or “care packs” at the Ridgeway and Great Western hospitals and are also planning some “one off” events such as: a summer walk in the woods followed by drinks at a local hostelry, afternoon tea with one of your supporters, a family fun day at the park, our annual fund-raiser at Fabio’s in November and a craft evening and social. If we are blessed with a good summer, we are also planning to go down to the seaside!
If you would like to join us, we also take part in charity walks and runs such as the Starlight Walk for the Prospect Hospice on 22 June this year.
Our evening meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at various venues. Our guest speakers cover a wide range of topics and include medical updates, complementary therapies and lifestyle advice.
